Well, since this is our first post I will just sum up everything going on with us lately! Besides watching Sam grow and learn new things each day, the only main thing going on right now is Dave's schooling. He is still going to Brigham Young University, Idaho (here is Rexburg) and getting his degree in Health Science. We are very excited because he graduates in December! Yay! We thought this day would never come. BUT we are a little scared to be done....okay, a LOT scared. We don't have a job lined up yet so we are just searching and praying and trying to have faith that things will work out and we will end up where we need to be.
As for me, I am a stay-at-home-mom and I absolutely love it! Though it can get tedious and boring at times, and sometimes I wish I had a social life again, I finally feel like I am doing what I am supposed to be doing and my life is in balance. I love being able to stay at home and clean our little apartment everyday and have dinner made for my husband every night....who knew I'd be a good cook?! And being able to be with my little angel, Sam, all day is such a blessing! I just pray everyday that I can be a good mom and raise him in the best way. Sometimes daddy wishes he could stay home with him and I could go to work! But I'm so grateful to be a woman, wife, and mother, so that I can nurture my family.
Sam is doing wonderfully also! He is learning new things everyday. He is SO close to being able to crawl! He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth, not quite knowing yet how to put one knee out, etc. Mostly, he just scoots along. The thing we are not looking forward too, though, is that we will have to child proof everything! But we are so excited that he is growing and learning things so fast...he is such a happy baby boy.
We are really excited for Halloween and to be able to dress him up and take him around to a few houses! We have two costumes though, and don't know which to use...I guess we can just alternate between the duck and the pumpkin.
We love being back in Idaho, and hopefully we can end up somewhere we love as much as we have loved here and Colorado. Rexburg is definitely different, now though, that all of our friends are gone. We don't do much on the weekends and I look forward to every opportunity to get out of the house and do something different than our everyday norm. We haven't made any new friends in our ward because it is SO huge. We have gotten to know the couple across from us though, Kadie and Ryan, and we really like them. As far as church goes, it feels like we are at a stake conference everyday and that we aren't really a part of it. Though we have gotten our home/visiting teaching assignments, we still have not gotten callings and we have been in the ward for 2.5 months. I guess we should enjoy it while it lasts. :)
My sister and brother-in-law, Cindi and Braxton, are trying to get enough money to move out here, which would be great for them and exciting for us...if they weren't coming right before we might be leaving! :)
We are all definitely happy. And though we have our struggles, as everyone does, we are content with our lives overall, and where we are at. We know we are doing what we are supposed to be doing in life, and hopefully we can always be doing what the Lord would have us do.

I love this! Isn't modern technology great? I'd still rather talk on the phone, but this is the next best thing (although the very best thing would be to talk to you in person!). Love, mama
Ohhhhhh! How cute he was as a duck, and a pumpkin! You're right...next year is the year he will start liking Halloween. He still may be too young even then. When I watched the videos of him almost crawing, I found myself cheering him on to crawl! I just want to smother him in kisses (and you too!)!!!! Love, Mom Coltharp
