Brent Morgan Davenport

I know it has been forever since I have written...it has been the most busy last 3 weeks ever! I'll make another post about the other two weeks, but we just got back from Utah last night (we were there all of last week). Dave's dad, Brent, passed away on Friday, June 13th due to complications from Diabetes. He was a wonderful man who loved his kids and grandkids more than anything. Family was the most important thing to him. He always had such fun stories and was a joy to be around. He will be greatly missed and I'm so glad Sam got to meet him a couple times before he went. But now he is with Sam, his oldest son, again and I am sure it was a wonderful reunion!

The funeral was difficult, of course, but it was a beautiful ceremony! The spirit was very strong there, and we know he was there. Brooke, Dave's sister, gave a beautiful talk and Dave gave a beautiful message as well as read a letter from his brother Stewart, who is still on his mission in Spain. The words spoken and the music sung was perfect.

We are glad we could go and be there with the family through this difficult time. Another thank you to everyone who has helped in any way and who has been so supportive!

It's so sad to hear about Dave's dad. I have a hard time thinking about losing a grandparent, let alone a parent. It is comforting to know that this life isn't the end, but I'm sure it is still very hard. We love you guys and will be praying for you and Dave's family.
