Twilight...FINALLY

We have been in Colorado since Friday and have already packed in a ton of fun stuff! It feels like we have been here forever but it's already going by so fast. My sisters and I weren't going to be able to go to Twilight until today but we were actually able to go on Saturday night! We were so excited! I have a picture of us in our shirts but I don't have it on this computer so I will post it when I get home. Anyway, I don't even know where to start...

First of all, I just want to say that over all, I LOVED IT!!! I could ramble on and on about this part and that and what I didn't like and did like, but I won't go into too many details. :) I went to it expecting that there was no way a two hour movie could perfectly depict a book, so I wasn't disappointed at all. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the meadow scene, but I won't go into details. It was just a little awkward. And there were scenes I was hoping they would have that they didn't but I think they did an excellent job at picking the best things to fit in the movie. It was just too short!

I was worried about the actors too, but after seeing it I can say I don't think they could have picked better people to play the parts!! I thought Kristen Stewart hit the part right on the mark! She did so good! And of course I could go on and on about my opinion of Edward. :) I thought Robert Pattinson so exceptional! He still didn't hit it as perfectly as I imagine Edward in my heard while reading the book (the Edward in the books seems to take a little more control and to be a little less awkward....) but I don't even care! He did so good at portraying him and the chemistry between them was so steamy (I wanted to watch that kiss scene over and over again...)! All summed up, he was extremely hot. :)

I tried to think how the movie would be to someone who hadn't read the books and I think someone would like it, but you would only know the basics and the stuff on the surface...so if you haven't read it, YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!! It's so much better when you can connect with the characters and know the background of what is going on.

There were some scenes that kind of irritated me also because they didn't happen at all the way they did in the book, but I expected that so it didn't bother me too much. It was still wonderful! Oh, and I loved the way it ended...leaving you already craving for the next one (New Moon)! I loved seeing the beginning spark of the rivalry between Jacob and Edward and can't wait to see it grow! I'm excited to see how they are going to do the next one with the wolves, etc.

My sisters and I were a little annoyed because we felt like we were the oldest ones at the movie...and definitely the most mature. The entire theater (and it was huge) was FULL of mostly middle schoolers. The whole row behind us was middle school aged boys who kept kicking the seats. Someone kept throwing candy at my sister, Cindi's, head (which I actually thought was pretty funny...). And of course everyone screamed when Edward came on screen the first time, but even more annoying, every single time it showed Jacob, the whole audience would scream even louder and yell things like "You're so hot!" It was irritating especially for the fact that you couldn't hear the lines at some points. And of course there was cheering at the opening and the ending of the movie...which I did participate in a little, I am unashamed to say....

But we had so much fun and as soon as it was over I was so sad that I couldn't watch it right away again. Because I want to....watch it over and over and over... :) I just can't wait until it comes out on video!!!

I am glad that you liked it. I hope I get to go see it one day soon. I'm debating trying to find someone to baby sit so I can go or even just going by myself while steve watches addi! Glad you are safely in Colorado! Have a great Thanksgiving!
